After the Rijksmuseum’s ten-year renovation, both the building and the presentation of works were totally transformed. Expect surprising furnishings, beautiful exhibitions and numerous facilities for young and old. The story of the Netherlands is placed in an international context at the Rijksmuseum and is told in chronological order through many objects such as paintings, drawings, photographs, silver, delftware, furniture and costumes. More than 30 galleries are dedicated to the glory of the Golden Age, when the young mercantile republic led the world in trade, science, shipping and arts.
