Brouwerij De Feniks

Belgium is known for many things and most certainly for its beers. You might know all the larger brands, but hiding in the smaller towns are microbreweries that can produce beers that can rival or even outshine the taste and quality of the big brothers. In the small town of Heule, just a half hour’s drive from Ghent, resides Brouwerij De Feniks (‘Brewery The Phoenix’) where brew master Gino Vantieghem, 48, and his team produce several different frothy goodies, breaking several traditions along the way. With a brewery named after the legendary bird, picking out the fiery phoenix as its namesake is no coincidence.
